Description
I got a lot of explaining to do on this one, so get ready!
This is the Fyra with a TRAXX locomotive and 'regular' carriges. It also comes with the special Fyra-repaint Benelux steering carrige.
Making this train took me much longer then average, since there were no ready-to-use Fyra carriges on the internet, so I had to create them myself out of some regular NS carriges.
Make the train as any other train I've made.
Here are the choices you'll have to make when making this one:
- Choose what loc. you want: red or grey, with or without the Fyra-logo or mabye the green-grey one?
- Choose the pantograph: one up or 2 up. (there are 2 pantopraphs included, so you can choose 2 loc's and a pantograph to each)
- Do you use the steering-carrige or not. (if not, just use the other 6 carriges)
Pay close attention to the numbers that indicate the order of wich the carriges should be placed behind the loc.: first red and pink bands, then the huge FYRA-logo (yes, it's an oversized Fyra logo that's painted across 3 carriges) in the right order, and finally red and pink bands with or without the steering-carrige.
By 15 december 2013 the Fyra is no longer called the Fyra, but the 'Intercity Direct'.
They were generally used in the highspeed line (160 km/h instead of the regular 140 km/h) between Schiphol - Amsterdam Central - Rotterdam Central - Breda, and back.
Update 1: Added grey and green loc's and changed 2 carriges to 1st class.
Update 2: added doors to the front and back of each carrige.
Fyra is (was) owned by the NS.
